Why are adjustable dumbbells so expensive?
Quick select adjustable dumbbells are potentially misleading, they look like one single dumbbell but, of course, they are actually a full set of 5, 10, or even 12 dumbbells in one, small footprint set.
Our quick select adjustable dumbbells consist of 9, 11 or 13 pieces of precision engineered steel, carefully constructed to ensure switching weights is simple, smooth & quick and that using the dumbbells is quiet, stable & safe. Of course there will be some movement of the plates in use, if the tolerance were too tight it would be fiddly to dock the dumbbell and shift weights.
When compared to the equivalent sets of fixed dumbbells our quick select adjustable dumbbells represent a huge saving in cost and space without the loss of convenience associated with traditional, spinlock style, adjustable dumbbells.
