MuscleSquad: Workout Tracker Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 20 July 2026
Welcome to MuscleSquad (“MuscleSquad”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the MuscleSquad mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using MuscleSquad, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the Services.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
To create and use a MuscleSquad account, we may collect:
- Email address
- Username or display name
- Profile information you choose to provide
- Authentication information when signing in through third-party providers such as Google, Apple, Facebook, or similar providers
You are responsible for maintaining access to your email address or third-party login provider. If access is lost, we may not be able to recover your account for security reasons.
Workout and Fitness Data
MuscleSquad is a workout and fitness tracking platform. Information you enter into the app may include:
- Workout history
- Exercise logs
- Sets, reps, and weights
- Workout programs and routines
- Body measurements
- Fitness goals
- Progress tracking information
- Notes and custom exercise data
We consider this data to belong to you.
Friends and Social Features
MuscleSquad allows you to connect with other users as “Friends” by sharing your username or handle. Adding a friend requires action from both accounts — a request from one user and acceptance from the other. No workout data, profile information, or routines are made visible to another user automatically or without this mutual action.
If you connect with someone as a friend, the following information becomes visible to them within the app:
- Your username and profile picture (if provided)
- Your past logged workouts, including exercises, sets workout duration and the summary note you enter at the end of a workout
- Your lifetime workout statistics, such as total weight lifted and the date of your last workout
- Any routines you have saved to your account
MuscleSquad does not share the following with friends:
- Upcoming or scheduled workouts
- Body measurements or fitness goals
- Comments, messages, or direct communication (MuscleSquad does not currently offer in-app messaging)
- Any photo other than an optional profile picture
If a friend saves one of your routines, a copy of that routine (its exercises and structure) is stored separately in their own account. Removing or editing your original routine afterward will not change or delete a copy a friend has already saved.
You can remove a friend connection at any time from within the app. Once removed, that person will no longer be able to view your workout history, statistics or routines going forward. During the 30-day pending deletion period described under “Managing and Deleting Your Account” below, your information will remain visible to existing friend connections; this visibility ends once deletion is completed.
Health Platform Integrations
If you choose to connect MuscleSquad with services such as:
- Google Health Connect
- Apple Health
MuscleSquad may read and/or write health and fitness information based on the permissions you explicitly grant.
Health data obtained through these integrations is used solely to provide app functionality and improve your experience within MuscleSquad.
We do not sell health data to third parties.
MuscleSquad’s use of health-related information complies with applicable platform policies, including Health Connect and Apple Health usage requirements.

To improve the reliability, performance, and stability of MuscleSquad, we may collect anonymous diagnostic and analytics information, including:
- App performance metrics

This information helps us improve the app experience, diagnose issues, and maintain service quality.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people engage with MuscleSquad, including which screens and features are used most, how often the app is opened and general navigation patterns within the app. Google Analytics collects information such as device identifiers, app interactions and approximate location derived from IP address. This data is used in aggregate to guide product decisions and is not used to identify you individually. You can find out more about how Google handles this data at Google's Privacy Policy.
We use Microsoft Clarity to record and review how people interact with the MuscleSquad app, including screen recordings, taps, scrolls and navigation paths. This helps us identify points of friction or confusion in the app so we can improve the experience. Microsoft Clarity automatically masks sensitive on-screen content such as text entry fields by default, and we take reasonable steps to ensure sensitive personal or health data is not captured through this tool. Clarity may also use cookies or similar identifiers on our website. You can find out more about how Microsoft handles this data at Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
