Squat Rack Height Checker
Find the right rack for your room
- Enter your ceiling height to see which racks will fit.
- Add clearance to suit your needs. We recommend 30cm to comfortably train pull-ups.
Is it essential to have clearance above my squat rack?
Only if you're planning to train pull-ups. Leave 30cm between the top of your rack and the ceiling for those. If pull-ups aren't a priority, no extra clearance is needed.
Our shortest rack, the Phase 2 Plate-Loaded Functional Trainer, is exactly 2m. Our shortest pin-loaded option is the 209cm Phase 3 Modular Rack. Whatever ceiling height you're working with, from a garage to a garden room or converted room, we'll have something that fits.

Frequently asked questions
How do I measure my ceiling height?
Measure from the floor to the lowest point where the rack will stand. This could be a sloped ceiling, a garage door mechanism or another obstruction, not just the ceiling itself.
If you're adding gym flooring, factor that in too. Rubber tiles typically add 2 to 3cm, which can be the difference between a rack fitting and not.
How much clearance do I need above a squat rack?
30cm if you'll be training pull-ups. If not, no additional clearance is needed.
What if no racks fit my ceiling height?
If even our shortest rack, the 2m Phase 2 Plate-Loaded Functional Trainer, doesn't fit your space, we don't currently have anything shorter. You can still get a lot done at home with a bench and a set of dumbbells.
