Adjustable dumbbells have three main benefits: price, footprint and ease of use.
Their all-in-one design makes them a lot cheaper than a set of dumbbells, where you're paying for hundreds of kilograms of weight over the whole set.
Since one dumbbell can replace up to 20 fixed pairs of dumbbells, they're also much, much more compact. You only need to house a single pair of dumbbells to get access to a huge number of weights.
Finally, they're surprisingly easy and comfortable to use. Twist the handle and you have a whole different weight in front of you. No getting up between sets to change your weight or being restricted to unrealistic leaps between weight levels. Our Elites go up in 2kg increments to help you progress gradually.
You can — and many customers still choose to do so. Fixed dumbbells will always be more durable than their adjustable counterparts and there's something to be said for having a whole rack of dumbbells in your workout space.
There's room for both types of dumbbells to exist, but when space and price are key considerations there's no better choice than adjustables.
Our Elite Adjustable Dumbbells aren't designed to be dropped. While the frame is incredibly durable, we can't guarantee their safety or continued operation if they're exposed to regular impact from height.
You can perform nearly every exercise with an adjustable dumbbell that you can with a fixed weight. The only movements we recommend avoiding are snatches, swings and other rigorous movements.
Absolutely. Using adjustable dumbbells as a beginner is smart because you have all of the weight options needed to hit your whole body. You might go towards the heavier end of the scale for compound and lower body movements, while the lighter settings will be a godsend for isolation and arm work.
Since these are a premium option we've made it possible to purchase a single dumbbell at a time. It lowers the barrier for entry, caters to people who prefer training unilaterally and hey, you can still buy a pair if you'd like! It all comes down to how you want to train.
Standard delivery to UK mainland is FREE on all orders over £250 (geographical exclusions do apply, please check our delivery information page for details). We aim to get your order picked, packed, and dispatched as soon as we receive it - orders received before 12 noon will be dispatched same day, those received post 12 are more likely to be dispatched the following working day.
If you're placing a large order made up of several heavy items, we will deliver it through a pallet network. The courier will contact you within three days to confirm whether the scheduled delivery date is suitable for you or to reschedule a new delivery date if necessary.

Products are covered under a one year warranty from receipt of delivery. Warranty covers any defects under normal use during the warranty period. During the warranty period we will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of the product defective because of improper materials or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
Dependant on the issue we will take the following steps:
- Repair the product at no cost
- Repair or replace any broken parts
- Exchange with a replacement
- Offer a full refund
Warranty does not cover:
- Damage of the product resulting from negligence e.g. dropping the product
- Damage of the product resulting from unauthorised modification of the product
- Damage caused by weather or natural disaster e.g. rust if product is kept outside
- The product must only be used indoors in a temperature controlled environment and be left dry.
- Theft or loss of the product
- Improper cleaning
- No chemical solution should be sprayed directly onto the product, it can remove the paint/ceramic coating/ionised/chromed finish and can cause rust. Any damage to the product from chemical products will void the warranty.
